Looks like Microsoft is set to disappoint again on web standards. Sigh. From the article: "My advice is simple: Boycott IE. It's a cancer on the Web that must be stopped. IE isn't secure and isn't standards-compliant, which makes it unworkable both for end users and Web content creators." Update: Microsoft's Chris Wilson points out that this verdict was a bit premature. So how good will be IE7's standards support, really? From the horse's mouth: "...in terms of stating that we really do fully support the CSS 2.1 spec… I don't think we're at 90%, I think we're above 50% though" Wow. Talk about aiming for mediocrity. |
